We will be donating a 4-day nature retreat package for one guest to the upcoming Jane Goodall Online Birthday Auction.
As many have felt around the world, the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall on October 1, 2025 marked a profound loss. Her lifelong dedication to conservation, her unwavering hope, and her ability to inspire generations to care for the Earth have left a lasting legacy—one that continues to guide and motivate communities across the globe.
In honour of what would have been her 92nd birthday, her organization will once again host its annual online auction from April 3–12. This year’s gathering holds special significance as the first held in her memory—a moment not only to celebrate her life, but to actively carry her vision forward.
Funds raised through the auction will support community-led conservation initiatives both here in Canada and in regions across Africa—empowering local efforts to protect ecosystems, wildlife, and the interconnected web of life we all depend on.
This opportunity resonates deeply with our own mission. At Northern Edge, we believe that when people are given the chance to truly connect with nature—through stillness, reflection, adventure, and shared experience—a natural sense of care and responsibility begins to emerge. It is through this connection that lasting change becomes possible. This resonates strongly with Dr. Goodall’s lifelong message — that when we reconnect with nature, we’re inspired to protect it.
