Gregor Waters Named National Finalist for Canadian Tourism Award

Northern Edge Algonquin is proud to share that Gregor (Greg) Waters has been named a National Finalist for the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Employee of the Year Award at the 2012 Canadian Tourism Awards.

Presented by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), the Canadian Tourism Awards recognize excellence, leadership, and innovation across Canada’s tourism sector. The IHG Employee of the Year Award specifically honours individuals whose dedication, professionalism, and impact exemplify the very best of Canadian hospitality.

National Recognition for an Extraordinary Team Member

In recognizing Greg as a finalist, the awards jury shared the following:

“Greg Waters is a truly remarkable individual who literally helped build Northern Edge Algonquin from the ground up. His colleagues know of few others that live with such dedication to the principles and values of honesty, integrity, passion and commitment. Fewer still with the range of talent and capability in such diverse areas as craftsman, gardener, builder, manager, kitchen guru, guide, trail builder, designer, and dreamer.”

Being named a national finalist places Greg among a small group of tourism professionals from across the country whose contributions have had a lasting and meaningful impact on their organizations and communities.
