I’d like to invite you to take a moment to soften your eyes and connect deep into your heart.
Imagine looking at the ground and spotting a flower just beginning to sprout forth.
Feel it’s roots deep under the earth, offering stability & grounding for the delicate plant that’s emerging.
See the plant slowly unfold into an upright position. See its strength and resilience in dealing with what nature has in store for it.
See its bud form and imagine it’s tightly held secrets
Watch now as the bloom fully emerges, awakening.
Notice its colour, shape, layers…are there any blemishes or spots? See its stamen and pistol.
Does it have an aroma?
Enjoy the beauty of its full blossoming.
Watch now as the petals begin to droop and then fall in the breeze as its seeds drop to the ground to rest, rejuvenate and then ready itself to begin the cycle again.
Imagine how your heart is like this flower. Changing, transforming and finally blossoming into your most beautiful self then resting and replenishing only to courageously burst forth anew with even more beauty and vitality.
Let us give thanks to this beautiful blossom and all it represents in the evolution of this wonderful life we are a part of.
Offer thanks to the ancestors and helpers who guide us on our way with intention, integrity and discernment.
And to the sharing in this circle that joins us together on our unfolding journeys here in the beautiful nature of our hearts.
I’d like to finish with a quote from A. J. Balfour
“What a desolate place would be a world without a flower! It would be a face without a smile, a feast without a welcome. Are not flowers the stars of the earth, and are not our stars the flowers of the heaven.”
Wander about in your garden, neighborhood or a park. Notice which flower catches your eye.
How are you like this flower? Can you imagine yourself unfolding as it did?
What does it feel like to bloom into your most glorious self? What does it taste like, smell like, look like? Does it make a sound?
Where are you blooming in your life?
